BoomTribe aims to provide in-depth, timely information on
current developments within the youth-oriented Caribbean entertainment
industry. Our written coverage includes Caribbean music and artistes, the party
scene, our TV shows, mobile phone personalization our virtual community.
BoomTribe seeks innovative features, news, reviews,
interviews and other material that explores the many aspects of Caribbean youth culture. Our approach is to use humour to break down barriers and get
across our point.
We always attempt to clearly establish the unifying
components of Caribbean culture and, by looking back in time and across
regions, genres and genders attempt to make local activities relevant to all
our members regardless of location.
BoomTribe strives to be "forward-looking." We're
at the dawn of a new century, with the music and culture of the region becoming
ever more influential on the world stage. Article subjects should therefore be
current and relevant.
If an article subject is significant and pertains to
BoomTribe and its community of members, as a rule of thumb we'll consider it
appropriate for publication.
We'll also consider subjects which are of interest to the
broad spectrum of Caribbean youth. Our articles are written from the perspective
of the Caribbean person, whether based inside or outside of the region.
We're striving a wide range of voices - our hope is for
contributors from every country in the region, as well as in the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom.
