Musical Goddess, iNDRANi Celebrates Love On Valentine’s Day
Musical Goddess, iNDRANi Celebrates Love on Valentine’s day
Bridgetown, Barbados - 8th February 2010 -
Love is in the air and recording artiste, iNDRANi has channeled it, releasing her love anthem "WANNA BE (THAT THING)" from her upcoming album “GODDESS WILD”
iNDRANi said "This one is a crowd favorite. Aside from the things on the surface: pretty melody, catchy chorus, cute voice…when you really dig into the lyrics, the song is really about giving yourself permission to yes, acknowledge doubt, and recognize pain, but MORE important than that, to allow yourself to believe again…"
According to iNDRANi, “this album represents a more personal follow-up to "Most Divine," embracing shades of acoustic and alternative folk with a lot of vocal instrumentation, while chronicling a journey of love. “I've always sung about love in a general sense…this time…it's just a lot closer to the 'bone'….closer to home…my entire heart and soul are in this album.”
"GODDESS WILD" resonates the sentiment of intimate love, all from iNDRANi’s real life experiences, beginning with "To The Other Side" the first recorded track for the album which came at a time when the Singer/Songwriter was calling love into her life, and "WANNA BE (THAT THING)" was written a year later when she needed to believe in love again. “All of my songs are special to me, though each touches me in a different way. I don't sit down to write songs for myself (do that with Vegas and other people I write with/for – write on demand.) With the songs I choose to sing, they decide when they're ready to be born. I just surrender and ride the wave when it comes.”
"GODDESS WILD" is an independent project, produced by iNDRANi, who also showcases her skills on guitar, live percussion and background vocals. Love anthem, "WANNA BE (THAT THING)" features top musicians, Andre Daniel on bass, Melvin Alick on drums, and was mixed and mastered by Trinidad's own music powerhouse, Kasey "KC" Phillips of Precision Productions.
The song is now available for purchase on iRibbeanTunes.com follow the link – https://www.iribbeantunes.com/WebsitePages/albumdetails.php?albumId=370
The song will be added to iTunes at a later this month.
iNDRANi will be performing "Wanna Be" live with her band at The Holetown Festival for their the Jazzy Monday Show at the Seaside Theatre (Free Concert) on Monday February 15th. The show begins at 7:30 PM.

DJ MVP Wins Heineken Green Synergy 2009 Barbados Final

The Release of Mighty Crown's New Sneaker Causes Havoc
The highly anticipated Mighty Crown/Nike Dynasty High sneaker made it's official debut in Japan a day following Crown's Yokohama Reggae SAI stadium show. Way before the Dynasty High's release, the demand for the sneaker was heavy. In Mighty Crown's Yokohama-based store, an incredible 500 pairs were sold in one day. Although Mighty Crown believed that the sneaker would do well, never did they fathom such a response. With a line wrapped around the corner of their store for the sneaker, Mighty Crown's members couldn't help but flash warm felt smiles.
"We were so excited about the Nike deal and the release of the sneaker," says Rohan "Ninja" Henry, the Jamaican-bred member of Mighty Crown. "We never imagined how strongly our fans and sneaker freaks would embrace the sneakers."
The limited edition sneaker is due to hit the States any day now. If the U.S. response to the sneaker is anything like that in Japan, the Dynasty High will fly off shelves. The sneaker will only be available for a brief time, so one should not delay copping a pair. Calls from sneaker aficionados and collectors through out the world have been flooding Mighty Crown's phone lines. It's reported that the price per sneaker has peaked at $350.00 on the internet.
Notably, the Mighty Crown Dynasty High represents the second time that Mighty Crown has joined forces with Nike. The first time around, in 2006, these entities released the Mighty Crown Pack consisting of the infamous Dunk High and Court Force Low sneakers. The Mighty Crown pack was a hit among sneaker freaks and celebrities and everyday folks.
